Photography by Dean Chalkley. These images take a look at a group of young Mods, of which Chalkley was intrigued by their sharp dressing and enviable dancing skills. The individuals show a real pride in how they present themselves sharing a passion for music. The Mod subculture is a vast interest of mine, looking back at one of the paramount youths in history. Originated in London in the 1950s, significant elements of the Mod culture include the fashion of tailored made suits and the Italian motor scooters. A beatnik culture that appears to still live on today.
